Guelph driver facing impaired driving offences after Hanlon Parkway crash

A two-vehicle crash on the Hanlon has led to impaired driving and other charges laid against a driver from Guelph.

Wellington OPP said it happened around 8:15, Sunday night, at the intersection of the Hanlon Parkway and College Avenue West.

They said no one was hurt.

A 29-year-old driver from Guelph is now facing a list of charges:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Careless driving
  • Driving motor vehicle with liquor readily available
  • Fail to notify change of address

A police photo from the scene shows cans of alchoholic beverages laid out across the roof of the suspect’s vehicle.

The OPP said their driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle impounded for seven.
