Thunderstorm watch in Waterloo Region; sun and rain to end off the week

The Waterloo Region is under a yellow weather watch for a possible severe thunderstorm on Wednesday.
Environment Canada is warning that Waterloo could see heavy thunderstorm move throughout the region. Forecasts showa 60 per cent chance of rainfall and a risk of a thunderstorm.
Experts say wind gusts of up to 90 km/h could push through, carrying toonie sized hail and rainfall will it. It’s expected to start in the late Wednesday afternoon or early evening, the thunderstorm could be the second to land in the region over the past week.
Residents are being encouraged to stay safe, with officials warning that local utility outages and damages are possible.
The rain is projected to stop in the late evening, with skies partially clearing overnight.
Rest of the week
Sunny skies will take over on Thursday and will stay that way carrying into the weekend, where clearer skies are expected. Environment Canada predicts that the region will see clear and sunny skies all day Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, with a high of 26 C.
On Sunday, clouds are projected to roll into the region, bringing a 40 per cent chance of rain with them.
