One dead, three hurt after motorcycle crash near New Hamburg

A Kitchener man has died after a three-vehicle crash between New Hamburg and Shakespeare.

Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) said the collision happened Tuesday afternoon around 2:30 p.m. at Highway 8 and Road 104.

Three vehicles were involved in the crash, including one motorcycle.

The man on the bike, a 61-year-old, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Three people in the other two passenger vehicles were sent to hospital. Police described their injuries as non-life-threatening.

Road closures were in effect in the area for around seven hours as emergency crews responded.

No cause of the collision has been released, and no charges have been announced at this time.

OPP are looking to speak with anyone who witnessed the crash or who may have video footage of the incident.
