‘Crime tourist’ arrested following Cambridge break-in

Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS) have arrested one suspect, whom they say they believe is a crime tourist, following a break-and-enter in Cambridge.

It happened on Dec. 27 around 1:10 a.m. when unknown suspects gained entry to a commercial business in the Sheldon Drive and Conestoga Boulevard area.

Officers say they arrested one suspect who was attempting to flee the area.

Officers say they believe the arrested male is a crime tourist, operating under aliases with charges throughout North America.

He was held for a bail hearing, and the investigation remains ongoing.
