Brampton man charged in Guelph cocaine trafficking bust

A Guelph Police Service investigation into a suspected cocaine trafficking ring has resulted in the arrest of a man from Brampton.
According to authorities, the Guelph Police Drug Enforcement Unit began an investigation earlier in the summer into a man suspected to be trafficking cocaine into Guelph. The unit located the man, and he was arrested leaving his vehicle Monday in a parking lot in the east-end.
After the man was arrested, police executed search warrants on his vehicle and residence in Brampton. Due to the searches, officers found cocaine valued at roughly $3300, in addition to over $1,700 in cash, as well as drug packaging.
The 34-year-old Brampton man has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking as a result of the investigation.
He will appear in court on Nov. 3.
