Charges expected after crash involving e-bike

Waterloo regional police expect to lay charges after a crash in Kitchener Friday.

Shortly after 4:05 p.m., crews were called to reports of a crash between an e-bike and SUV in the Victoria Street North and Margaret Avenue area.

The road was closed for the investigation, which lasted well into the late afternoon drive.

The man on the e-bike, a 33-year-old from Kitchener was sent to hospital. Police said his injuries are non-life-threatening.

In the SUV, the man from Stratford, also in his thirties, was not hurt.

Police are still investigating what led to the crash and said charges are expected to be laid.
