Police search for suspect in Kitchener armed robbery

Waterloo regional police are searching for a suspect after an armed robbery in Kitchener on Saturday.

Around 2:20 a.m. Saturday morning, officers were called to the Weber Street East and Kinzie Avenue near Highway 8.

A victim reported walking in the area when an unknown female suspect approached them.

She allegedly assaulted the victim and stole their personal belongings before running away. No one was hurt.

Police did not mention the ages of either the victim or the suspect.

The suspect is described only as female and wearing a white hoodie with the hood pulled up.

Anyone who has information about the incident is asked to contact police.
