Police investigate armed convenience store robbery in Cambridge

Police continue to investigate after an armed convenience store robbery in Cambridge over the weekend.

Sunday night, officers with the Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS) responded to a reported robbery in the Eagle St. North and Concession Rd. area.

A male suspect allegedly walked into the store around 10:30 p.m. and threatened staff with a firearm.

He demanded items and fled the scene before police arrived.

“Investigators are asking anyone with information to please contact police, including anyone with any dash cam footage or CCTV,” said WRPS Constable Chris Iden.

None of the convenience store workers were hurt in the robbery and the suspect was last seen riding a motorcycle down Concession Rd.
