15-year-old charged after Kitchener knifepoint robbery

Waterloo Regional Police have charged a 15-year-old boy with multiple offenses after a weapons incident late Monday night.
At roughly 10:45 p.m. on July 27, officers responded to reports of an incident involving a weapon near Highland Rd W.
Police say the investigation showed that the suspect had approached a victim while brandishing a knife and demanding property from the victim. There were no injuries reported as a result of the incident.
Investigators believe the incident was targeted.
A 15-year-old male suspect was arrested and charged with robbery and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose as a result of the dispute.
