Police investigating late-night Waterloo robbery at King/University

Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a robbery that took place in Waterloo in the late hours of July 27.
At around 11:40 p.m. Monday night, police responded to reports of a robbery at a business at King St N and University Ave E.
Investigators learned that five suspects had attempted to hide merchandise and leave the business without paying. When store staff confronted the suspects, a physical altercation occurred. As a result of that altercation, the manager of the business sustained physical injuries.
WRPS say the suspects are described as five black males, approximately 15 to 18 years of age. One of the suspects is said to have been wearing blue track pants and a white shirt at the time, while another was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt. No other details have been published regarding the other suspects.
