Former Knights captain delivers Rangers win over rivals

It was a Hollywood ending to the game at Canada Life Place between the Kitchener Rangers and the London Knights.

Rangers forward and former Knights captain Sam O’Reilly netted the overtime winner to seal the 4-3 victory over London on Wednesday night.

The Rangers completed their third win in London over the Knights this season, a feat they haven’t accomplished in over a decade.

Ahead of puck drop, former Knights O’Reilly and Jared Woolley were honoured in a tribute, and the London faithful rose to their feet in a standing ovation for the pair who won two OHL championships and a Memorial Cup in the Forrest City.
