Dump truck collides with hydro pole killing driver

Provincial police responded to the scene of a single vehicle crash just west of Elora on Tuesday morning.
According to officials, the collision resulted in a person from Waterloo dead.
Around 8:30 a.m., officers and emergency services arrived at Sideroad 11 for reports of a dump truck that had crashed into a hydro pole. Once there, they confirmed the 63-year-old driver was dead.
Hydro One anticipates power will be restored in the area by 4:00 p.m.
Sideroad 11, between Eighth Line West and Arthur Street North is closed for the time being. Police say they do not have a reopening time.
