Police looking for suspect involved in two Kitchener robberies

The Waterloo Regional Police Service is now investigating two robberies that happened across different restaurants in Kitchener.
First, at around 10:40 p.m. on Aug. 10, police say they responded to reports of a robbery in a plaza in the Fairway Road South and Wilson Avenue area.
Then, on Aug. 12, officers responded to another reported robbery, at roughly 9:50 p.m. This time, the theft was in the Fairway Road North and Lackner Boulevard area.
Through their investigation, police discovered in both cases that a male walked up to employees and demanded to be given cash from the register. Officials say the man ran off with an undisclosed amount of cash after both incidents.

The suspect is described wearing goggles, a black face mask, and black pants. Also, police added that on the Aug. 10, robbery, the suspect was wearing a grey hoodie. During the reported robbery on Aug. 12, the man wore a black hoodie.
The investigation remains ongoing by WRPS’ Break and Enter, Auto Theft, and Robbery (BEAR) Unit.

There were no reported injuries in both robberies.
