Sandra Kuttis’ hands were shaking when Mike Farwell said that she won the grand prize for the 2026 Farwell4Hire campaign.
It’s a sizable sum for cystic fibrosis research; a total of $186,760 was raised and a massive take-home prize for the lucky ticket holder.
That means this year’s fundraiser winner will be taking home $93,380.
“My hand is shaking. Are you being serious?” Sandra asked Farwell.
“I would never kid you about something like this, I am being 100 per cent serious. This is not the kind of trick you play on people,” he told her.
“Oh my gosh. I I don’t even know what to say. This, like, never happens,” Sandra said told Farwell live on air. “I’m too stunned to… my hand is shaking. I’m actually crying a little bit. I’m sorry, I don’t know what to say, but just thank you.”

The Kuttis family likely sounds familiar, as Sandra and Erik are the owners of TLC Pet Food, the presenting sponsor of the 50/50. Sandra bought her ticket on June 26 before the draw closed, after TLC Pet Food donated two early bird cash prizes for the campaign.
As punishment — or victory — Farwell has promised to put aside his pride as a lifelong Leafs fan and don a Montreal Canadiens jersey while diving into the spiciest hot wings he can find live on his show.
