Police respond to sudden deaths in Kitchener, neither considered suspicious

Waterloo regional police are not investigating, after two separate reports of sudden deaths in Kitchener Wednesday.

Around 8 a.m., police officers were seen in Victoria Park, responding to reports of a death in the area.

A police spokesperson confirmed to CityNews Kitchener, they are helping the Office of the Chief Coroner at this time, but no suspicious activity is being investigated.

“A deceased individual was located. The death is not considered suspicious at this time,” said Public Information Officer Cst. Melissa Quarrie.

Several hours later, around 3 p.m., a deceased person was discovered in the Highway 8 and Fairway Road South area near Fairview Park Mall.

Quarrie confirmed, there is no police investigation surrounding that death, and it is also not considered suspicious.
