A fatality is being reported following a crash on Northfield Drive East, north of Conestogo.
It was just after 6:30 a.m. on Friday when Waterloo regional police shared news of a “serious motor vehicle accident” on social media.
Police later confirmed that the collision involved two vehicles and one of the drivers, a 77-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash was reported just before 6 a.m. at the Northfield Drive East and Country Lane intersection, around West Montrose.
The other involved driver, a 44-year-old man, was taken to an out-of-region hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
