Driver facing charges after crashing into LRT in Waterloo

Waterloo Region Police have charged a 26-year-old male driver, after a crash involving a Light Rail Transit train in Waterloo.

Police received reports around 9PM on May 22, of a collision between a vehicle and an ION LRT vehicle. The crash took place at the intersection between King Street South and Willis Way.

No injuries were reported as a result. The driver of the vehicle was charged with ‘Turn Not in Safety’.
