Police charge man after motorcycle stolen downtown, update

Waterloo regional police have charged a man in connection with a reported motorcycle theft in downtown Kitchener.

Earlier this month, police released video footage of an individual they were looking to speak with. That footage has since been removed following the arrest.

The alleged theft took place on August 1, which was the Saturday of the Civic Holiday long weekend.

The motorcycle was parked outside a business in the King Street West and Water Street North area of Kitchener when a man reportedly stole it.

That was around 6:40 p.m. that day.

A 45-year-old man is facing a charge of motor vehicle theft.
