Kitchener Rangers topple Knights on Don Cameron Potato Night

It was a night focused on charity at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium on Tuesday, but the Rangers didn’t give an inch to their rivals from the west down Highway 401.

The Blueshirts dismantled the London Knights 5-2 on Don Cameron Potato Night at The Aud.

Rangers forwards Dylan Edwards and Sam O’Reilly had four-point performances in the dominant performance.

The Rangers improved to 4-1 against their rivals this season, their best record against the Knights in more than a decade.

“All four lines, I liked. We didn’t give them much,” said Kitchener Rangers Head Coach Jussi Ahokas. “I think we were under ten chances that we gave up the whole game – that’s when you get wins, and also we created a lot. I’m happy with how the boys played.”

Kitchener takes a pair of days off to prepare for a big Eastern Conference road trip that starts in Kingston with a game against the Frontenacs on Friday.
