Rangers prepare for Greyhounds team led by forwards from Ayr, Elmira

The Kitchener Rangers are back in action on Friday night, looking to get back in the win column against the Soo Greyhounds.

The Blueshirts fell just short last Sunday in a 3-2 loss against the Kingston Frontenacs, snapping their four-game win streak.

Friday’s test will be tough against a Greyhounds team that features two stars from close to home here in Waterloo Region.

Ayr native Jordan Charron has already matched his point total from the entirety of last season in just 21 games. The Greyhounds forward has 15 goals so far this season, good for second-best in the OHL.

Elmira native and Greyhounds forward Brady Martin has 11 points in 7 games since returning to the team after starting the year away with the Nashville Predators.

On Saturday, the Rangers will take the short drive down Highway 7 to face the Guelph Storm.
