The Waterloo Concert Band will be the next performance in Waterloo Park’s “Barnshell”.
This performance is a part of Waterloo’s “Music in the Park” weekly concerts, showing off different bands and music. Now, the streak of free concerts is almost over, with next week’s performance by the Kaleidoscope Flute Choir being the last.
Describing themselves as a diverse group of musicians that come from all ages, the Waterloo Concert Band is one of the oldest active ensembles of its kind in Ontario. With roots all the way back to 1858, before becoming the Waterloo Musical Society in 1882, they have been a mainstay of Waterloo region for a long time.

With over 60 different active players, the charitable organization plays a wide range of music on a variety of instruments.
The Barnshell can be located on Eby Farms in Waterloo Park, where performances are scheduled to last one hour.

The event is free to attend; residents interested may want to bring a blanket to stay warm and sit on.
