Humber College grad performs Sunday at Cambridge Summer Live

Those in Cambridge looking to enjoy the sounds of Jazz Fusion live should look no further than Sunday night’s edition of ‘Cambridge Summer Live!’ at Forbes Park.
Cambridge Summer Live has returned in 2026 and has featured a variety of different entertainment acts, musical groups and movie nights at venues around Cambridge. The series has featured a variety of musical genres including R&B, Pop Rock, Soul, Classic Rock and more.
Headlining Artist
Don McDougall of Top Pocket fame will headline Sunday’s edition, performing at Cambridge’s Forbes Park starting at 7:00 p.m.
McDougall is a long-time staple of Waterloo Region’s musical scene. He graduated from Humber College’s music program before becoming the drummer and producer for local jazz group “Top Pocket”. The band formed in Waterloo Region back in 1993 and has released two studio albums as of 2026. McDougall has also performed with a variety of touring bands and artists, including CCMA Award-nominated country artist Colin Amey.
Don has also been a fixture in the musical arrangements for a number of local theatre productions in the region, ranging from Jesus Christ Superstar, to Grease, to Into the Woods; all of which performed at Kitchener’s Centre in the Square.
From 2011 until 2016, McDougall also served as Assistant Director of Music, and the leader of the drumline in the Waterloo Regional Police Service’s ceremonial band.
As with all Cambridge Summer Live performances, organizers say those looking to attend should bring their own portable lawn chairs to the performance. Entry is free and no tickets are necessary. Forbes Park is located at 16 Kribs St in Cambridge.

According to Environment Canada, no rain is expected and temperatures will hover around 26 degrees through Sunday evening.
Cambridge Summer Live continues every Wednesday and Sunday until the end of August. You can find a full list of scheduled performances and their locations at the City of Cambridge’s website.
