Cambridge man charged in child luring investigation

A Cambridge man is facing further criminal charges as Huron County OPP continue its investigation into a child luring incident.

George Danayan, 27 at the time, was charged with six criminal offences after OPP began an investigation in March 2024 following report of an individual communicating with a victim under the age of 13 using a social media site.

The Cambridge man was charged with the following:

  • Make Sexually Explicit Material Available to a Person Under 18 years of age;
  • Make Sexually Explicit Material Available to a Person Under 16 years of age;
  • Luring a Person Under 18 years of age by means of Telecommunication;
  • Luring a Person Under 16 years of age by means of Telecommunication;
  • Invitation to Sexual Touching under 16 years of age; and
  • Possession of Child Pornography.

Danayan was held for a bail hearing and later released from custody awaiting a scheduled court appearance.

OPP have continued investigating and have uncovered new evidence as well as identified additional victims in Ontario with whom the accused allegedly communicated with via social media.

Danayan, now 28, is facing 21 additional charges:

  • Make Sexually Explicit Material Available to a Person Under 18 years of age (two counts);
  • Make Sexually Explicit Material Available to a Person Under 16 years of age (two counts);
  • Luring a Person Under 18 years of age by means of Telecommunication (two counts);
  • Luring a Person Under 16 years of age by means of Telecommunication (two counts);
  • Invitation to Sexual Touching under 16 years of age (two counts);
  • Possession of Child Pornography (two counts);
  • Imports, Distributes, Sells, or Possesses for the Purpose of Distribution of Sale any Child Pornography;
  • Makes, Prints, Publishes or Possess for the Purpose of Publication any Child Pornography;
  • Voyeurism;
  • Sexual Assault on a Person Under 16 years of age (three counts); and
  • Sexual Interference (three counts).

The accused was held for another bail hearing and released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.

OPP are still investigating. Investigators say they suspect there may be other incidents involving the accused. Police say the accused used alias usernames including “Jason”, “Stintam”, “Stalkham”, “Jason Stintam”, and “Jason Stalkham”.
