85-year-old arrested after vehicle crashes into Waterloo residence

Waterloo Regional Police have charged a local driver with two major offenses following a collision that took place early Friday morning.

Around 1 p.m. on July 10, police received reports that a vehicle had been driven into a home at Dansbury Drive and Bridge Street West in Waterloo.

The driver of the vehicle, an 85-year-old man from Waterloo, was transported to a local hospital, but is not said to have suffered any life-threatening injuries.

Following an investigation, the man has been charged with Driving While Under Suspension and Careless Driving.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to contact Waterloo Regional Police at 519-570-9777.
