Police release photos in hopes of catching Kitchener arsonists

Waterloo Regional Police have released a pair of CCTV photographs in an attempt to catch two arson suspects from an event in Kitchener back in May.

At approximately 5 a.m. on the morning of May 30, 2026, two individuals whose faces were covered broke into a business located at Lancaster Street East and Elizabeth Street.

Police investigators believe the footage shows the suspects using a “liquid accelerant” which has resulted in significant damage to the business.

The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information related to this incident is asked to contact Waterloo Regional Police at 519-570-9777, extension 4496.
