‘It’s just not worth it’: Ayr driver recorded going over 160 km/hr on Hwy. 401

A reminder to slow down from Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).

West Region OPP are sharing a case of reported stunt driving on Highway 401 just outside of Waterloo Region.

A young driver was recorded going 166 km/hr on the busy highway near Drumbo Road in Oxford County.

Their licence was suspended for 30 days and their vehicle impounded for 14.

“It’s just not worth it,” said a post from OPP.

A 25-year-old driver from Ayr has since been charged with stunt driving.
