Arrest made following Uptown Waterloo assault

A Waterloo man is facing an assault charge, after an incident in the Uptown Waterloo area over the weekend.

On Saturday morning around 2:15 a.m., police were called about a fight between two men in the King Street North and Princess Street East area of Waterloo.

Police said the victim was seriously hurt.

The suspect was arrested on scene.

A 25-year-old man from Waterloo has since been charged with Assault Cause Bodily Harm.

Police are still asking anyone with information or security camera footage to contact them.
