Police searching for suspect who assaulted a boy in Kitchener

Police released a suspect and vehicle description in the hopes of tracking down the person who committed an assault on May 25.

That afternoon around 1:45 p.m., a young male was assaulted while walking at Rosemount Drive and Eton Drive in Kitchener. An unknown man suspect approached the boy and struck him multiple times, before fleeing from the scene in a black pickup truck. The truck was last seen in the area of Rosemount Drive and River Road.

Police have released a description of the suspect, who is said to be a white male, roughly 20 to 30 year old, with a medium build, curly dark hair, and a dark beard.

The investigation is ongoing, so anyone with information is asked to contact the Waterloo Regional Police Service at 519-570-9777.
