Regional police are investigating a crash in Kitchener that saw a man struck by a vehicle, and they expect they’ll be laying charges.
It was just before 11 a.m. on Thursday when regional police responded alongside emergency crews to that pedestrian-involved crash in the Wilson Avenue and Fairway Road South area of Kitchener.
It’s alleged that a Hyundai motor vehicle collided with a pedestrian.
The pedestrian who was struck, a 68-year-old man from Kitchener, was taken to an out-of-region hospital. His injuries have been described as non-life-threatening.
The man behind the wheel of that Hyundai was not hurt. He’s been identified as a 58-year-old from Cambridge.
While Wilson Avenue was closed for several hours for a collision investigation, it has since reopened.
Police are still looking to hear from any witnesses to the collision, including those that may have dash cam footage. Those looking to aid in the investigation can contact police at 519-570-9777, extension 8856.
