Five, including children, seriously hurt in weekend crash

Charges are expected to be laid after a serious two-car crash just outside of St. Clements over the weekend.

Saturday afternoon, around 3:45 p.m., officers were called to the intersection of Moser Young Road and Hessen Strasse Road in Wellesley Township.

Five people in one vehicle had to be taken to hospital with serious injuries. Police said two of them were children. The driver in the other vehicle was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Although it’s unclear at this time what happened, a hydro pole was significantly damaged in the crash.

Police said charges are expected with the investigation still ongoing.
