Guelph man arrested with $30K worth of cocaine

A 41-year-old man in Guelph was arrested and charged on Thursday after being found with more-than $30,000 of cocaine.

Officers were called out to the area of Fife Road and Elmira Road South just after 5 p.m. after the suspect was seen “engaging in activity consistent with drug trafficking.”

The suspect was arrested at a business in the area and searched. Police found more-than 300g of cocaine and about $2,700 in cash.

The Guelph man was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime, and for breaching probation.

He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
