Police are looking for a man who was spotted on the grounds of a school in Cambridge, reportedly making videos while kids were playing outside.
Waterloo regional police officers were called out to an elementary school around Baldwin Drive and Guelph Avenue, in Hespeler, around 1:00 p.m., Monday.
Police did not identify the school, but both St. Gabriel Catholic Elementary School and Silverheights Public School are in that area.
The press release notes that officers were told about a man walking on the school property, who seemed to be recording a video.
They said this man was seen first in the rear parking lot of the school, then walking through the playground area, while children were outside for recess.
He reportedly walked away when school staff told him he could not be on the school grounds.
Police said he did not approach or speak to any students.
He’s only described as being 6’0″ tall, an adult, and at the time was wearing a dark coat and a black hat.
Anyone who knows anything about this man, or what he was doing at the school, is urged to contact police at 519-570-9777, or reach out anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, or by clicking here.
