One charged following indecent act at children’s park

A Waterloo man is facing charges following an alleged indecent act that took place at a children’s park Friday afternoon.

Around 1 p.m., police received reports of an incident in the area of Cornerbrook Crescent.

Witnesses alleged the suspect had engaged in an indecent act at the children’s playground while kids were in the area.

Officers arrived an identified the suspect.

A 60-year-old Waterloo man has now been charged with one count of indecent act and was held for a bail hearing.

No physical injuries were reported.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact regional police or submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers.
