Intersection closed, driver arrested after three-vehicle crash in Cambridge

One person is now in police custody after trying to flee the scene of a three-vehicle collision in Cambridge on Thursday morning.

It was just after 8 a.m. when Waterloo regional police shared news of that crash in the Hespeler area of Cambridge, in the intersection of Bechtel and Queen streets.

Police say one of the involved drivers attempted to flee the scene on foot, and has since been arrested.

The intersection of Bechtel and Queen streets was closed for a collision investigation, though police say that closure has since been lifted.

Details surrounding that collision are limited and there’s no word on any charges being laid at this time.

No serious physical injuries have been reported.
