Suspect at large after an early morning stabbing in Uptown Waterloo

A stabbing in Uptown Waterloo early Friday morning put a victim in hospital, with the suspect still at large.

Waterloo Regional Police (WRP) say it happened around 1:00 a.m. in the area of Erb Street West and King Street North.

They say officers found a 26-year-old man with non-life-threatening injuries. He was taken to a local hospital.

WRP have not yet made an arrest, and there’s no suspect description at this time. However, they say this was an isolated incident and there’s no ongoing public safety concerns.
