KW Titans lose in OT to Windsor

By Mark Pare

Greg Morrow's lay up with seven seconds left and a missed buzzer beater by Windsor sent the KW Titans to overtime.

But even extra time wasn't enough, as they lost to the Express 138-134 Tuesday night in the Border City.

The Express' Juan Pattillo scored a game-high 40 points, seven of those in OT.

Joel Friesen led the Titans with a 30 point effort off the bench for KW.  Derek Hall registered 16 points and 12 rebounds for a double-double, and five other Titans players scored in double figures.

The Titans were playing catch up basketball for the most part, down by eight points at half.

They closed the gap by the end of regulation, but the Express edged them out in the extra five minutes to extend their win streak to six games.

Meantime, KW has now lost five straight and fall to fourth in the Central Division.

The Titans host the Island Storm at The Aud Thursday night at 7:00 p.m.
