Skateboard competition in Cambridge

A skateboard competition gets underway at the Pipes and Rails Duncan McIntosh Centre in Cambridge today.
It’s a chance for local youth to show off their moves and win prizes. About 45 people will be participating in the free event.
Director of Corporate Communications and Marketing for the City of Cambridge, Linda Fegan, says everyone is invited to participate or watch.
She says the city recognizes the importance of having youth facilities.
There is also an opportunity for people to learn more about skateboarding facilities and see the launch of the City’s skateboard video.
The Centre is located at 200 Christopher Drive — registration is at 3 — the competition goes from 4-7.
