Flood Advisory Issued

There’s the potential for flooding along some areas of the Grand River watershed Monday and into the middle of this week.

Mild temperatures and rain overnight into Monday morning have combined to raise water levels, although with colder temperatures expected to move in throughout Monday, the flooding is not expected to be severe.

The Grand River Conservation Authority says the potential for flooding exists in communities that traditionally experience seasonal flooding. It’s also monitoring local waterways for possible ice jams.

The Conservation Authority is also reminding parents to keep children and pets away from all watercourses and to stay off frozen bodies of water.
