Flu arrives in Guelph area

Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health has confirmed the area’s first case of influenza A.
The virus was found in a man over 50 years of age, no location was given.
Influenza A causes a sudden fever, muscle aches, headache, sore throat, cough and weakness that usually lasts five to seven days.
Guelph’s first flu clinic is on Tuesday at the Evergreen Senior Centre on Woolwich Street.
