Driver clocked going over 200 km/hr on Hwy. 401 in Cambridge

A young driver from Kitchener has been taken off the road for now, after police said they were racing down Highway 401 through Cambridge.

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) said the driver was recorded going 220 km/hr in the westbound lanes of the highway.

A 20-year-old from Kitchener has since been charged with stunt driving and dangerous operation.

Their licence has been suspended for 30 days and vehicle impounded for 14 days.
