Some negative fall-out from Apple’s big news conference Friday regarding antenna problems with the new i-Phone 4.
As Mike Eppel reports from the 570 business centre, Apple rivals aren’t happy with some accusations about their technology.
Apple CEO Steve Jobs started his news conference Friday about antenna issues with the newest i-Phone, admitting Apple wasn’t perfect. But, he then quickly turned his attention to competitors saying their phones also experienced dropped calls, specifically naming products by Waterloo based Research in Motion, Motorola and HTC.
That led to a quickly issued press release by RIM, saying “…Apple’s attempt to draw RIM into Apple’s self made debacle is unacceptable.”
Independent analyst, Rob Enderle says Apple should have just focused on it’s own issues.
Instead they threw other phone companies under the bus and made the problem worse because they have to respond.
Apple is offering free cases for i-Phone 4 users. The phone is still sold out in the U-S, but goes on sale here in Canada later this month.
