It’s been nearly a year since Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to an alleged home invasion in Puslinch Township.
This past summer, three people were arrested in connection with the incident that saw one person reportedly shot.
Friday morning, OPP released details of the charges which included attempted murder with a firearm.
On Sunday, Nov. 16, 2025, OPP were called to a home in South-East Morriston around 4:40 a.m.
Officers discovered one person with a gunshot wound who was sent to a local trauma centre for treatment.
Just over seven months later, an 18-year-old from Oshawa and a 20-year-old from Mississauga were arrested.
This past September, a 19-year-old from Welland was also arrested and charged.
The 18-year-old cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. Police said the other two charged include Lavontae Bowleg, 20, and Keillo Waisome, 19.
The list of charges is extensive and includes attempt to commit murder using a restricted firearm or prohibited firearm, and breaking and entering.
The three have court dates in Guelph scheduled for October. Police noted a publication ban has been issued in connection with the case and they therefore will not be releasing any further information.
On the morning of the alleged home invasion, OPP had said they believed the incident to be isolated with no threat to public safety. Officers had also originally said they were looking for four people who reportedly fled the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
