Five Honda SUVs stolen in Guelph in same day

The Guelph Police Service received five reports of different vehicle thefts Wednesday, all in the east end of Guelph.
Police say they received a report of a stolen vehicle on Wednesday at 3:30 a.m., near the Eastview Road and Victoria Road North area. The owner told police that their vehicle, a 2024 Honda CR-V, had just been stolen out of their driveway.
Officials later found the vehicle abandoned, and not far away from where it was stolen, with damage to the rear end and side window.
In the morning, at 6:25 a.m., a resident in the Watson Parkway and Fleming Drive area reported that their white 2025 CR-V was stolen in the early hours of the morning. Police were eventually able to locate the vehicle, damaged, in a parking lot on Auden Road.
Just five minutes later, police received a report that a resident said his wife’s white 2025 CR-V was also stolen overnight from their driveway in the Grange Road and Starwood Drive area.
Then, at 8:20 a.m., another resident in the Grange Road area reported that his silver 2025 Honda CR-V was stolen overnight from his condo’s parking lot.
Waterloo police say that some of the property inside the SUV, including the complainant’s wallet, was recovered on a nearby street.
Just after 11 a.m., officers received one more report of a stolen vehicle in the Grange Road and Bradson Drive area.
Officials say the homeowner captured security video showing two individuals breaking through the sunroof to enter his 2026 Acura MDX.
All of the thefts remain under investigation. It is not known if they are related. Anyone with information is asked to call the Guelph Police Service at 519-824-1212.

This can include parking indoors when possible or in well-lit areas, ensuring vehicle doors and windows are closed and locked, employing anti-theft devices to prevent vehicles from being started or steered and using devices to block signals from electronic keys. Please report suspicious activity around unattended vehicles, especially during overnight hours.
