Two men arrested in Cambridge for drug trafficking related charges

Waterloo regional police have charged two men in Cambridge after officers say they saw the men engage in drug trafficking.
On July 7, around 11:15 a.m., in a news release, officers say they witnessed the 34-year-old male engage in drug trafficking in the Mill Creek Trail area.
As a result of the investigation, officials say the 34-year-old man is being charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and seized what they believe could be hydromorphone.
Then, on July 9, at 10:10 a.m., while surveying the Ainslie Street North area, officers saw another man engage with drug trafficking.
Officials say that as a result of that investigation, a 59-year-old man was arrested and charged with:
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking (two counts)
- Possession of a dangerous weapon.
After the arrest, police seized a slingshot with metal ball bearings and what they suspect to be methamphetamine and oxycodone.
