It’s set to be an emotional night for a pair of Kitchener Rangers players and fans of the London Knights.
The Blueshirts are in the Forrest City on Wednesday night to take on their rivals, the Knights, for the last time at Canada Life Place this season.
It’s the first, and potenitally only, return to London for Kitchener’s Sam O’Reilly and Jared Woolley, a pair of players who joined the Rangers in January after being traded from the Knights in exchange for Jacob Xu and a bucket of draft picks.
O’Reilly and Woolley won a pair of OHL championships and a Memorial Cup while wearing London green and gold.
As for the game itself, the Rangers are looking to follow up on an impressive 7-2 win over Windsor on Friday and complete the three-game sweep of visits to Canada Life Place this season.
The Knights currently sit nine points back of the Kitchener Rangers for first place in the Midwest Division.
After Wednesday, the Rangers return home for a bout with the Guelph Storm on Friday.
