Regional police investigating thefts from vehicles in Waterloo

Regional Police are investigating a series of recent thefts from vehicles in Waterloo’s Northdale neighbourhood.

According to police, multiple vehicles were entered in the Regina Street area between August 7 and 8.

Police have not specified what items were stolen but they did share an image of a suspect taken from security camera footage.

Residents in the area are asked to check their security and dashcam footage from those evenings to see if anything suspicious was captured.

The neigbourhood has seen more than its fair share of this type of crime. A warning to residents was issued early in the summer. Yesterday, police issued another warning stating there was an increase in thefts from vehicles in July.

Owners are being reminded to remove valuable items and to lock their vehicles at all times.

Any information should be directed to Waterloo Regional Police at 519-570-9777.

Anonymous information can be provided to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at www.waterloocrimestoppers.com.
