Canadian Muay Thai Open Finals on display in Kitchener

The Canadian Muay Thai Open finals are almost underway in Kitchener. Top performers in the tournament will get the choice to join the national team qualifier.
The tournament brings high level talent to Kitchener for a weekend filled with action and Muay Thai. Through the event, spectators can see competitors put their athleticism and training to the test.
The tournament is nationally sanctioned and professionally run as athletes from across Canada and even further go to compete. As a result, the first-place finishers in each division will be awarded the opportunity to join the national team qualifier in 2026.
Finally, the semi-final and finals bouts will begin at 11 a.m.
There are three divisions for athletes to compete in:
- Youth
- Amateur
- Advanced athlete
In the events news release, they describe the Canadian Muay Thai Open as a loud and lively atmosphere. Fans or people who want to experience Muay Thai for the first time will see a fast paced, intense competition.
Admission for adults is $50 per day, while tickets for children 12 and under are $25 per day. You can watch the ongoing tournament at the Kitchener Auditorium, with tickets purchased at the door.
