Pinebush vaccination clinic to close Sunday

By CityNews Kitchener Staff

This will be the final week for the Pinebush COVID-19 vaccination clinic in Cambridge.

The clinic was reopened to deal with an expected surge in demand for the new bivalent vaccines. The region says now that it's no longer needed, public health will return to operation of the regional vaccination clinics and mobile community outreach.

Appointments and walk-ins will be accommodated at Pinebush until Sunday, November 6.

After that, those 12 and over who are eligible for the bivalent booster dose can seek it out at participating pharmacies and doctors’ offices (Get a Vaccine – Region of Waterloo).

To date, over 107,000 local residents (16.8 per cent) have received a fourth dose of the vaccine.

The Regional COVID-19 Care Clinic, also located at 66 Pinebush Road, will remain open after the vaccination clinic closes on Sunday.
