Traditional Oktoberfest parade returning this year

The annual Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest Thanksgiving Day parade will make a comeback in 2022, to its traditional in-person form.

It's scheduled for Monday, October 10.

The annual event was cancelled in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic.

Organizers say it will return with all the favourites from years past, but also with some new floats and inflatables.

More details are expected to be announced in the weeks and months to come.
