Power outage resolved in Kitchener

A power outage impacting over one-thousand customers in Kitchener has since been resolved.

The outage was first reported shortly after 6 p.m. on Thursday as both an orange heat warning and a severe thunderstorm watch were in effect.

Just over 1,400 customers were impacted in the Doon and Pioneer Tower West areas of the city.

Enova Power said the cause of the outage was not immediately known but crews were dispatched to investigate.

The power outage has since been resolved.
